		<description>Thanks for this post.  I did this for our 5 year old this year.  I actually spent more money than I would have if I had just picked up one of those pre-assembled baskets, but the things that I got for him are things that he needs and probably would have gotten in the next few weeks anyway.  I chose things like new color wonder markers, a big box of crayons (all he had were just pieces of crayons from various places), snack items (not all sweets), bat bag (he&#039;s playing T-ball now), dry erase markers (for some school stuff we are working on that needed them), and a sand bucket to put it all in.  It took a little bit of thought and like I said a little more money but in the long run I think we are probably saving money.</description>

		<description>To avoid waste and garbage we have gone to a one present sort of thing.  We can put it in a basket or decorate it but I have found the investement to one basketball over 15 little trinket gifts to be ahead in the long run and less waste.</description>
